"Forget the long taxi line at the Vegas airport. From Thursday afternoon through Saturday, the line can take 40 minutes to get a taxi. If traveling with friends, go to the opposite side of the terminal from where the taxis are and hire a town car. The cost is about 40.00 to the Strip, but if you want to get to the action fast and split it between friends, it's worth it.
Also, if taking a taxi back to the airport from the strip, remember that they don't take credit cards!!!! Too many "losers" who have maxxed out their cards, I guess. Cash is king."

Home Page: Another way to escape the line is to get your luggage carried out by a skycap. You go to a separate line and bingo you are in a cab in two minutes. It also works in Las Vegas hotels. Pay a bellman to come pick up your bags and it's no line for you! I'll pay $5.00 any day of the week to not wait in line!
